Pictures with the Pumpkins

Austin got to head to the farm today! We went to Vertuiccio's Farm out in Mesa for their Fall Festival type deal. It was okay, just super hot. That is right...HOT. Who would have thought that this late into OCTOBER we would still have 90 degree weather? We tried to get out in the morning, but even as we were driving away our car said it was about 85 degrees out. We went with Grandma Barb, Andy, Cassandra, Calleigh, Aidan and Grandma Cathy. Austin had a great time trying to climb through the pumpkins. It is amazing to compare pumpkin pictures from last year to this year. He was also very interested in walking a lot. Good fod him!

Day at the Zoo

This week we took advantage of Fall Break and took a trip to the zoo. My mom and I are both off this week, so we thought it was great timing. We also went with my sister in law Cassandra, my niece Calleigh, and Cassandra's mom Cathy.

It was a little warm by the time we left, but the morning was really nice. Austin didn't really notice most of the animals, but he did like the play area and the petting zoo. He got to pet a horse named Smokey, it was the first time I remember being that close to a horse.

Just Because

I really have no reason to post this blog except to share a few pictures from this month. I've noticed that I take a lot less pictures than I used too. Sad huh? Anyway, we had some great weather over the past couple days, so we went for our first wagon ride outside. It started out okay, but ended with Daddy carrying Austin and Mommy pulling an empty wagon.

Next week is my Fall Break. I'm looking forward to spending time with my mom and maybe even welcoming a new member of the family! We shall see.

Austin got a cool ride for his birthday. It was finally cool enough to take him outside to play for a little bit. We went up and down the sidewalk for a few laps.

I cannot believe how fast he is growing up. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you, Austin!

Austin's First Haircut

Well we finally did it! After like a month of saying Austin needed a haircut, we finally took him to get it done. I love my babe's curly hair and how much he has, but it was covering his eyes and ears, but too much. He did such a great job! It wasn't until the last maybe two minutes that he started fussing a bit. He looks like a whole new man now.

Trip To Iowa

Austin and I traveled to Iowa to visit some family. My uncle was getting married, so it was the perfect time to see many family members that I haven't seen since our wedding. We had to leave Daddy behind and we missed him dearly. We did have fun with Grandma and Grandpa Streit and Uncle Andy. He was a trooper on the plane and the unexpected extra drive on Friday night.

Happy Birthday, Austin!

I can't even put into words how amazing it was to celebrate Austin's birthday this past weekend. There was so much emotion wrapped into one day. I just cannot believe my baby turned 1, he will always be my baby, but he is more and more a big boy every single day. In the last year we have been through a lot. I can honestly say that I have been tested, but we have gotten through everything and here we are!

We decided to keep Austin's party as small as possible. It ended up being about 20 people large with just immediate family. We wanted to make sure that the people Austin loved the most surrounded him on his special day. Here are some pictures of the day.
