Daddy's Birthday

Ryan's birthday was Monday. We celebrated our usual way, Red Lobster. I don't like fish and I have a tad bit of an allergy to shellfish so we don't do seafood when we go out. Since it is his birthday, he gets the special place. This year was awesome because Austin got to join us! We came home and opened up gifts. Austin was super excited for all the things that he picked out for Daddy.

Ryan needed a lot of help

Dad, you're doing it wrong let me help

It is hard to get them to both smile at once. :-)

Cousin Love

My mom took these pictures of Austin and Calleigh over Father's Day weekend. I just love them! They look so cute together.

Looks like he's planning on taking her teapot.

With Grandpa

Whoa big eyes!

Whatcha got Calleigh?

It has been super hot here lately, so we hopped into my mom and dad's pool this weekend. Here is a family picture of the fun pool time!

Austin VS The Frog

Today was the last day of swim lessons. We plan on doing another sessions later this summer. It was so affordable plus it gave us something to do as the weather was heating up. As part of the last lesson, the kids got to go on the frog slide. Austin can sit up, but going on slides we didn't want him to lose his balance so he went on his back. He was NOT a happy camper. He came up crying, but was easily consoled.

Happy Father's Day!

As many of you probably know, today was Father's Day.  It was Ryan's first Father's Day to be specific. We didn't have big plans, but Austin did suprise Daddy with a photo collage of pictures of them together. He put it in a frame so Daddy could take it to work with him.

We spotted by Ryan's parent's house for a bit and Austin had apparently been sneaking away to Grandma Carol's house at night (no wonder he has been so quiet) to work on a Father's Day shirt with footprints and everything!

Finally we capped the evening with a get together at Andy and Cassandra's for dinner. Ribs and potatoes...yum yum yum! Austin had a great time playing with cousin Calleigh and all the family! He even found the dog food dish, go figure right?

Holy Zucchini Batman!

One of the guys that Ryan shares his office with grows a garden. Apparently he gives his veggies steroids because Ryan brought home a zucchini that was almost 3lbs and maybe a little under two feet long? So what did we do? Of course we took pictures!!!!!  Now we need to decide what to make. Fried zucchini, zucchini burgers, zucchini salad? Who knows!!

Our First Big Bump

Poor Austin received his first (of many, I'm sure) bumps on his head. He pulled himself up on his toy box to play with a toy. As he was playing, he slipped onto his bottom and the toy fell on his head. He had a good cry and got a big bump on his head. Poor little man.

Wrapping up, Back to Reality!

Vacation can be an interesting thing. I spent weeks preparing and getting excited for vacation, but turn around today and boy was I ready to get home! Can't wait to get into my bed tonight!

Friday was a good day. Ryan woke up early again to go fishing, that afternoon we took Austin down to the lake for a quick few pictures. We also found a pond with fish that was only a two minute walk from our cabin! Awesome! Austin loves being outside. Since we weren't getting up early today, Tom showed us all how to play a cool card game. It was fun times and I was doing great...until the last hand (RYAN!!!).

Saturday was pretty much just getting packed up to come back home. We made good timing with only a few short stops. Overall it was nice to get out of the Valley, but then again it was nice to come back home to our comforts!
