Austin Speedracer Smith

 

Austin is a new man now that he can crawl. We pretty much spend the day chasing after him. He loves to go crawl over to the dog's crates. Today he even made it to the back door! The best was when he was in his bedroom waiting for Ryan to get the bath water ready and Austin crawled into the bathroom with him! I love my little man and I can't believe how big he is getting.

So many milestones, so little time!

Austin is growing up SOOOOOOOO quickly I can't even believe it. In the last month we went from army crawling, to real crawling, to holy crap get back here! He is ALL over the place. We have some busy times ahead of us. In two weeks we are going up north for cooler weather. Staying in a cabin with the Smith family. We also have cousin Emmalee's third birthday and we plan on starting swim lessons with cousin Calleigh So much fun this summer!!

The most awesome milestone is the head growth. Austin no longer has to wear his cranial helmet for plagiocephaly!!!! He started at 19mms off and he is now at 7mm, that is an amazing change. We're ending with three weeks of night time wear, just in case. We're glad we were able to get it off before this heat came.

From now on I'm sticking to this type of hat!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Today we went to my parent's to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Ryan decided to jump in the pool. Austin took a dip too. I'll be waiting another um...month? before I even think about it! Austin wasn't a huge fan either. Overall it was a great day and we loved hanging out with our family.

My First Mother's Day

Today was my first Mother's Day as a human mom. Over the years the dogs have always been my babies that we celebrated the day for. :-) I didn't think it would hit me emotionally as much as it did. Ryan did a great job with the help of the crew. It was so very cute, the card I got had each of the "kids" sign it. Austin said I was the best mom ever, Max and Molly said they were in on it, like normal, Snickers claimed it was all her idea. :-)

I love my family so much. Every once in awhile I have moments of, "Oh my Gosh, I'm a mom." Today was truely one of those days.

I'm so blessed for the family I have. I have the most wonderful son, husband, and crew of animals. Also, I have the best mom ever! I want to wish everybody a happy Mother's Day! Thanks again my handsome son! Mommy loves you more than words can describe.

April 30th we took Austin to his second baseball game. He went to his first when he was three weeks old! He was a little bigger now and enjoyed the sights and sounds this time around.
